DOCTOR ODYSSEY
FROM THU 24 OCT, DISNEY+ DRAMA (FIRST TWO EPS FROM 24 OCT, THEN WEEKLY)
All aboard! It’s time to embark on a highseas adventure as Disney+ launches a lavish new medical drama, Doctor Odyssey.
The 18-part series stars Dawson’s Creek favourite Joshua Jackson as suave Dr Max Bankman, a brilliant emergency- room medic who upends his life to set sail as the new doctor on The Odyssey, a luxury cruise ship catering for honeymooners and holidaying retirees.
But it’s all hands on deck for Max and his dedicated nursing team comprising Avery Morgan (Dopesick’s Phillipa Soo) and Tristan Silva (Mr Selfridge’s Sean Teale) as they deal with unique medical crises in the middle of the ocean, while also navigating love triangles, personality clashes and behind-the-scenes dramas.
‘Every episode has a lot happening and that’s part of the fun – the show is meant to have that pace,’ says Joshua, 46.
