SPECIAL OPS: LIONESS NEW FROM SUNDAY 23 JULY, PARAMOUNT+ DRAMA (FIRST TWO EPISODES FROM SUNDAY 23 JULY, THEN WEEKLY)
Settling back into plush leather armchairs, film favourites Nicole Kidman and Zoe Saldaña are clearly delighted to be teaming up for a new TV spy thriller,
Special Ops: Lioness. ‘There’s something beautiful about the way Nicole works,’ smiles Zoe, 45, as TV Times meets up with them at a posh hotel in London for a chat.
‘Even after all these years and all these milestones she has so wonderfully accomplished, there’s still a sense of wonder. She knows all her lines and is asking all these questions about her character. She’s one of my giants!’
Launching on Paramount+ on Sunday 23 July with a double bill, the eight-part series is inspired by a real US military programme and follows the work of Lioness, an elite CIA task force spearheaded by women who infiltrate dangerous terrorist cells.
