With French Netflix show Marianne, director Samuel Bodin established himself as a new voice in horror. Cobweb is his feature film debut. It’s also his English-language debut, starring Antony Starr (truly chilling as psychotic superhero Homelander in Prime Video series The Boys) and Lizzy Caplan (Fatal Attraction, Fleishman Is in Trouble) as the rather weird, creepy and perhaps abusive parents of Peter (Woody Norman, who starred with Joaquin Phoenix in 2021’s C’mon C’mon).
Thing is, Peter’s a little weird and creepy himself, and also capable of violence. He has started hearing a voice that speaks to him from behind his bedroom wall. And it’s instructing him to do the most terrible things…
