Lady Jane Grey ruled England for nine days in 1553, before being executed in 1554 to make way for Queen Mary.
Yet the Tudor history books are torn up in this new eight-part comedy drama, which imagines an alternate story for Jane.
As the tale begins, a sickly King Edward VI (Jordan Peters) is coming under pressure to name his successor as the ruler of a land that is divided into ‘Verities’ – normal folk – and ‘Ethians’, magical people who can turn into animals.
