There's a new face on the force as BBC1 crime drama Shetland returns for its eighth run this week, with Extras star Ashley Jensen joining the series as DI Ruth Calder.
When Ellen Quinn (Maisie Norma Seaton), a key witness in a gangland murder, gets spooked and flees home to Shetland, the Met Police sends Ruth to find her. But Ruth, who also grew up on the islands, is not happy about her own homecoming...
