SHE knew exactly what she wanted to wear on the night of her matric ball because she'd been picturing it since she was a little girl: a princess-style gown from her favourite film, Frozen.
And Tayla Fransman got what she wanted - she was the belle of her ball in her sparkly blue dress on her special night.
Matric balls are considered a rite of passage for most school leavers and it's one of the most memorable moments of a teenager's life. But Tayla's special-needs school, Perpetua House, doesn't have Grade 12.
To her delight, they recently hosted a special Takkies and Tiaras-themed night especially for her. The bash at Forest 44, an elegant venue in the heart of the Cape Winelands in Stellenbosch, was a formal affair and guests were attired in smart evening wear.
Tayla's mom, Charlene Fransman, says the evening exceeded their expectations.
