THEIR plans to create an art business was anything but a roll of the dice. In fact, what started as a project to get through Covid-19 lockdowns has turned into a great success.
Best friends Ben Hoblyn and Ross Montgomery use thousands of dice to create incredible mosaic portraits.
They used 10 000 of the small six-sided cubes to create Beyonce's face, honoured the late Queen Elizabeth's 70-year reign in monochrome glory, honoured the legendary Michael Jordan and created iconic space ranger Buzz Lightyear.
The primary school friends from the UK wanted to do something to make people smile during the lockdown.
"We had seen mosaic works online and thought that it would be great if we could produce something similar. We thought we could make even more impressive pieces ourselves, Ben (33) told the BBC.
