Popular culture will tell you that there is no love lost between the French and the Americans, with the former despising pretty much every American value there is. Their lack of etiquette, their passion for all things commercial and the fact that everything that they do will always be a faux pas in the eyes of the French. While this dislike towards les américains is mostly just a stereotype, the French have been up in arms against Emily In Paris ever since it premiered in 2020. Often considered a mockery of the French culture and viewed as a show that is made through the lens of French clichés for the Instagram-obsessed audience, surprisingly (or not), everyone can't help but tune in to the show when a new season drops. Whether it's a guilty pleasure, or you are simply struck by fabulous couture and the classic French-girl style (not to mention our favourite boys, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount and more recently, Paul Forman), even the French can't help but watch Emily Cooper get in trouble as the show progresses.
