Firstly, was it right to import a volume of man-made concrete into a garden? The concrete is recycled and repurposed, compared to a natural product that is mined or removed from the natural environment.
Secondly, am I comfortable to move away from more tried and tested garden plants and use more wild-looking species?
I'm very happy with this decision as this drought tolerant community positively thrived through hot, dry weather and was awash with pollinators, giving tremendous benefit to biodiversity within the garden.
