“The Yogi has given proper thought to the selection of food, its quality and quantity. He leads a sedentary lifestyle and his outlook on life is also different. The food must therefore suit his special needs. Yoga thus refers to Sattvik food which is light, nutritious, wholesome and easy to digest. Yoga also recommends filling only half the stomach with food as good health of the bodymind complex depends largely on the nature of food.”
