Life in the metros is quite busy and every other day, we encounter challenges. It's either you've missed your 9.15 Churchgate local train or an important task on your to do list or at times the date of paying your regular bills. In this rush for progress, somewhere we've all forgotten the art of appreciation - appreciating the little joys of life. We are engrossed in doing big things and achieving more but we are oblivious to all that we have already achieved. The word appreciation has lost its magic in our day-to-day living.
Recently, I got an opportunity to teach English literature at a nearby coaching class for students of Std. 12. I took it up for the love of the language and also because it was for a couple of hours a week, which was quite manageable.
