A long and narrow condo in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, had been updated to sell, but it still wasn't quite right for its new homeowners. It needed some fresh design elements, increased functionality and proper light direction to offset its cramped layout and impersonal style.
"The layout of the condo was tricky," says Nellie Howard Ossi, designer at Mrs. Howard in Jacksonville, Florida. "We needed to make the space flow and make sure it didn't feel dark and crowded. And, since it's located at the beach, we wanted to pull in traditional coastal colors like aqua and all shades of blue." Through several key changes, the condo became as airy and fresh as the sea breezes wafting around it.
