In Juhu, Mumbai, this residence is the perfect example of "before and after" home transformation. Sarah Sham of Essajees Atelier navigates the initial road map of a cramped, dark and constricting layout to reimagine it as an open, airy and interactive space that enables its occupants to experience its full potential, while they live their best life.
Taking us through the rebirth of this 2,500sqft home, the designer says, "In terms of space planning, we tried to open a lot of spaces and allow a lot of natural light in. In the old space the ceiling design was very hectic and that's something that made the space feel very small and cramped. So, we evened out the ceiling design, opened up all of the windows and used a very light tone of wood flooring."
