THE GAME PLAN for Giorgio Armani for their 2024 Autumn/Winter Menswear Collection, unveiled early this year in Milan, is deceptively elementary.
The brief seems to be: keep things simple. They’ve kept the colours of this collection neutral, limited motifs to the classics—geometric shapes formed by straight lines, herringbones, the occasional Glen plaid/Prince of Wales checks—and kept silhouettes slightly roomy. But it is in their textures, and the way that Giorgio Armani has played with accessories and layering that brought an understated sense of sophistication to the collection. Where Giorgio Armani has always been known for their power suits, the FW24 collection features softer silhouettes.
