But considering where Viwo Kulati comes from, she was bound to shine. Growing up in Grahamstown - now Makhanda - in the Eastern Cape, she's been exposed to the best in the art industry all her life.
Every year, hundreds of South Africans flock to the National Arts Festival in her hometown and she was inspired by their drive and passion for the industry.
A few years later, she's made a name for herself. Following her nomination at the 29th annual SAMAS last year, soulful sensation Viwo continues her musical journey with the release of her new single, 'Cela Kuwe', which she describes as deeply inspirational. She developed a love for music and a great respect for art at a young age, always making sure to push her creative spirit to new heights. With her recent release, she showcases a tearful message to the listeners, encouraging her audience to trust in a higher power when faced with challenges, and "not just hear the song but feel it," shares Viwo.
