Each year, I like to buy something new for the tree. Every family member gets a new decoration that is meaningful to the year that has passed, with my romantic vision being that when each of my children leave home, they’ll have a starter pack of memories that they can add to.
I also like giving decorations to loved ones back home, so if we can’t be with family, there is a token of us with them.
