Where are you from? What do you miss about it?
I was born in Grantown-on-Spey, Scotland. I left Scotland in 1992 and I miss the spirit of the Highlands; it’s such a beautiful place. I also miss being part of modern Scotland and all that it has to offer as a thriving business hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
What brought you to Singapore?
We moved with my company in January 2016. Previously, we were in Anchorage, Alaska for five years, which was an amazing experience! Before that, I was in Australia for 18 years.
Tell us a bit about your work in Singapore.
My role is supporting large engineering and construction projects around the world in sometimes very challenging locations with very little infrastructure. This year, I spent most time in Kazakhstan, which is a beautiful country.
