In 1985, Welspun Living, the popular Mumbai-based home textile brand opened its first mill in Palghar, a small town between Mumbai and Gujarat, exporting its offerings around the world. Today, the textile unit has grown into a global conglomerate spanning across more than 50 countries. The brand found great success on international shores, where it has expanded considerably and is a market leader today. Its journey from a small unit in Gujarat to being a global leader in the home textile industry has been powered by innovation, resilience, and a commitment to a smarter and sustainable future.
Teaming up with The Walt Disney
Last year, Welspun entered into a deal with The Walt Disney, which has resulted in beloved characters from the animated world of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and more come to life on vibrant bed linen including pillows, throws, and blankets in addition to bath linen. The brand has helped Welspun to penetrate deeper into geographies like UK, Europe and South Africa.
Collaboration with Martha Stewart
Welspun Living has also worked with hospitality doyen Martha Stewart, and joined hands with her to exclusively produce her home linen segment inspired by her personal décor style, from inviting farmhouse aesthetics or sophisticated minimalism. The diverse designs are at once luxurious and accessible, crafted in bright colorways and beautiful patterns. Some of the standout pieces include plush, soft towels - Martha's favorite, and a stunning bedding range.
To further strengthen their association, Martha was hosted by the brand during her visit to India last year, where she got a tour of the brand's production facilities and its sustainable practices as well as a taste of the country's rich cultural, crafts, and textile heritage. This solidified Stewart's interest in partnering with companies that align with her goal of responsibility and excellence.
