It was anything but a quiet stroll in the park for Bec and Lleyton Hewitt, with onlookers noting "obvious tension" between the two as they took their dogs out in Sydney recently.

The expression on Bec's face spoke volumes as she appeared to speak heatedly with a frustrated-looking Lleyton, 42. The former tennis ace has come under increasing pressure to spend more time at home, as their teenage children present new challenges.

New Idea understands that the couple, who have been married for 18 years, are at odds over their future, given Lleyton may end up back on the international tennis circuit in support of their son, Cruz. The 14-year-old is showing all the signs of taking after his champion dad.
