During the 1990s Bono and Michael Hutchence were two musical artists at the peak of their fame, with Bono leading supergroup U2 and Michael topping charts the world over as the charismatic frontman of Aussie band INXS.
With their paths crossing regularly, the pair became quite close, living the high life in a way that only rock stars can.
However, as detailed in Bono’s new memoir Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story, things fell apart for the good mates when Michael and Paula Yates began seeing each other.
The relationship between the lovers was instantly intense after television presenter Paula interviewed him for her show.
