MASTERCHEF'S RETURNING STAR HAS EVERY REASON TO CONTINUE HIS MISSION
Brent Draper KEEPING JOCK'S LEGACY ALIVE

Two years ago, Brent Draper sensationally quit MasterChef to take care of his mental health, confessing to judge Jock Zonfrillo at the time he "had nothing left".

Now, after an emotional healing journey that included travelling around Australia in a renovated bus with his wife and young son, Brent has returned to the reality series, equipped with meditation skills and helpful mantras to help him truly master the kitchen.

"It took so much to let everyone know I was struggling with my mental health," Brett, 32, has said. "As a male, I think it's a very hard thing to do, let alone on national TV

"When I left, I saw a therapist who helped rebuild my footing, essentially. My outlook now on life is totally different. I'm so passionate about men’s mental health. Why are we not breaking the stigma around it? You’re allowed to be vulnerable – it’s not about the stumble, it’s about the comeback.”

Sadly, Brent’s triumphant return will forever be marred by tragedy, given Jock passed away suddenly on April 30 aged just 46.
