IT'S TIME FOR SOME FUN IN THE SUN FOR THE DEDICATED PRINCESS

The Princess Royal has always been one of the hardest-working royals during her decades of service to the Crown. She’s also known among friends to scoff at the word “downtime”.

Sources say that for Anne, being at home with her horses and family is all the break between ribbon-cutting and hand-shaking one could ever need.

However, after a rough year in which Anne shouldered her usual duties along with mourning the death of her mother, New Idea understands King Charles is personally insisting his sister takes a “proper holiday”. And her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, is going too!

“Charles wants Anne to get away for some much-deserved R&R,” says a source. “He’s offered to treat her and Tim to an all-expenses trip somewhere tropical” – most likely the private island Mustique in the Caribbean.

“Anne always talked about going there one day, given it was a favourite escape for her aunt [Princess Margaret],” says a source.
