Melissa Bell did her best to fight back tears of joy as she walked down the aisle to exchange vows with the man of her dreams, Grant Thompson.
Held at the Chapel by the Sea overlooking Broadwater on the Gold Coast, the October 29 ceremony took place on the eve of Melissa’s 50th birthday, and the former
Neighbours star admits she “started to get emotional” as she reached the altar.
Looking spiffy in a pink jacket, financial planner Grant, 60, was also overcome with emotion when he turned and saw his bride wearing her stunning lace and tulle gown.
“I had a special box of tissues at the ready and had to grab for them a couple of times,” Grant says with a smile, as the newlyweds share exclusive details and photos from their big day with New Idea.
