From £2,699 panasonic.com
Are you seeking an OLED TV that's not only among the brightest of 2023 but also comes with the best integrated sound straight out of the box? Then the Panasonic MZ2000 is without rival. You will have to pay handsomely for the pleasure, but this is a TV that's reassuringly expensive.
If you're familiar with Panasonic and its TV output it's worth noting this is the crème de la crème in their range. If you're not familiar, this means that the Panasonic is a pretty special TV.
But no one's perfect and one upgrade we would have liked to have seen is in regards to the HDMI ports. While there are four ports on the rear, they're vertically aligned, which we find a bit fiddly to use (the USB slots are horizontally aligned) and only two of them are the HDMI 2.1 standard for 4K/120Hz compliance. It's not the end of the world, but when the LG G3 and other competitors have all four ports as HDMI 2.1, the Panasonic is a little less future-proofed, especially as one of those ports is the eARC one.
You can get the MZ2000 in three sizes with the 55-inch and 65-inch options boasting core MLA panel tech, while a 77-inch version lacks an MLA panel, meaning its less bright overall. But before we take a closer look at the Panasonic's stunning picture and sound, how good is it going to look in your living room? The MZ2000 is a big, heavy TV weighing in at just over 30kg, but is held up by a sturdy central pedestal stand with just four screws, which is fairly mind-boggling. But even more impressive is that the stand can swivel for offset left/right positioning.
