“It felt like a scene in a telenovela especially when it began to shower,” says Ella Pangilinan, admitting she was slightly on edge as she walked down the aisle to wed Enrique Miranda.

It was one of the most romantic moments of her life, a memory that she would cherish forever. “I got a bit emotional when I saw my dad tear up, and even more when he kissed my hand and gave it to Enrique,” she adds. “I felt all the love from everyone there.”

Enrique and Ella’s story started in November 2017 when Ferdi Salvador, a common family friend, set them up on a blind date. It was a successful match albeit followed by a long-distance relationship as both had to finish their respective studies. Six years later, they’re both starting their respective career paths—Ella in the arts and creative industry, Enrique in business and finance—while building a life together and soon a family. “Our relationship now is more focused on how to add value to each other and grow together as we pursue our callings,” Ella says.
