Ducati Multistrada V4S: Kind, Ferocious, Fabulous

Ducati Multistrada V4S: Kind, Ferocious, Fabulous

“So, what are your first thoughts?” an eager friend asked and I replied promptly, “Kind, it is.. kind”. Even I was surprised to hear that myself but it was the truth and something that kept reverberating through my head as I rode the Ducati Multistrada V4S through dense Delhi traffic at noon in peak June heat when the temperatures were over 40 Degrees and a humidity level touching higher 70%. I had never thought I would be calling a 240kg, 1158cc, 168bhp fullblown Adventure cum Grand Tourer motorcycle, kind.

This was the first time I was riding the Multistrada V4S, I have had a (brief ) experience of the ferocious Panigale V4 so was curious to experience if the eventual meeting of the brilliant Ducati V4 engine with the Multistrada would be special, just like everyone else who had ridden it before I had smiled and talked about.

I had expected the 20-odd km ride back to my place to be a mobile sauna bath because there would certainly be traffic that would crawl at best at certain sections. I was also expecting the Multi(strada) to get extremely hot under the scorching sun and barely moving traffic filled with people trying to reach someplace in a hurry, all stuck together in their mutual agony.
