But, at a recent event in Melur, a Jallikattu bull did not reciprocate the love. When Annamalai patted it, the bull leapt towards him. Luckily, the former IPS officer escaped unhurt. At an event in Madurai the very next day another bull was brought to receive Annamalai, who is on a padyatra. This time, he chose to admire the bull from a safe distance.

BJP leaders in Kerala have been confronted with a case of 'brand identity theft'. The Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Sangh (BJMS), a labour union, not to be confused with the BJP's national trade union affiliate-the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh-and sporting colours resembling the BJP's, recently used images of 'brand icon' Prime Minister Narendra Modi on its promotional material. To make things more confusing, the BJMS was established by BJP leader Shant Prakash Jatav. The party's state leadership noticed the entity's activities recently, reacted sharply and warned its cadres not to collaborate with the BJMS. But, the pertinent question is, what did the BJMS hope to achieve by copying the BJP in Kerala?
