PAUL Carden lavished praise on his Nantwich Town heroes after Nantwich Town overcame a 64-place deficit to knock York City out of the Isuzu FA Trophy.

The Step 4 Dabbers stunned their National League visitors with three goals in the opening 28 minutes and held on for a famous victory despite Lenell John-Lewis and Zanda Siziba scoring late on for the Minstermen.

“You’d go a long way to see a better first-half performance than that,” Carden beamed. “It’s massive for the club, and hopefully we get another good draw and see where it takes us.”
