The first goal came just before the break when an Alex MacAllister shot was blocked only for Mullins to turn in the loose ball. A trialist doubled the lead on 78 minutes before Mullins completed his double three minutes later.
Experienced strike pair Gavin Allott and Liam Hardy scored two goals apiece as Northern Counties East side Shirebrook Town beat a young Chesterfield outfit 6-0.
