RELEGATION from the National League was confirmed for Kidderminster Harriers as they were defeated by an Eastleigh side who banished any slim fears of suffering the drop themselves in the process.

Spitfires top guns over Harriers

Less than 12 months on from their National League North play-off success, Harriers were relegated back to Step 2 having only mustered four home victories all season.

Paul McCallum's 31st goal of the season was enough for the Spitfires to seal victory - a statistic which speaks volumes when comparing it to Harriers' poor goal tally of only 39 in 45 matches.

Boss Phil Brown said: "It's a disappointing day for everyone involved with the football club. It's difficult to find the words to say anything after a game of football like that. Relegation hurts, and we've gone down.
