The Surrey side were relegated from National One at the end of last season having won promotion to the third tier in 2022, and look set to continue yo-yoing between the two divisions as they require three more wins from their final four games to secure the title.
Winterbottom is satisfied with how his troops have bounced back from relegation last season as they’ve tasted defeat just twice since their opening day loss to Barnes.
He told The Rugby Paper: “It’s a nice position to be in and hopefully we can win all four of our remaining games. We’re pleased with our form, the two losses were disappointing especially the recent one against Tonbridge Juddians, who are a massively improved side, but we had our chances and didn’t take them. We got back on track against Wimbledon, played some good stuff and were fortunate both Barnes and Dorking lost last weekend.
