Super Rugby Pacific round-up
The Blues will host Australia's sole representative the Brumbies on Friday, while the Chiefs travel to Wellington to take on Kiwi rivals the Hurricanes on Saturday.
The Chiefs scored six tries as they defeated Queensland Reds 43-21 to reach the semi-finals.
All Blacks star Damian McKenzie contributed 13 points.
No Australian team has ever won a Super Rugby knock-out game in New Zealand and the Reds' defeat extended that miserable run.
Chiefs hooker Samisoni Taukei'aho said: "We're really happy, it was down to the first half when we came out firing but we have a few things to tidy up from the second half."
Taukei'aho exhibited great pace and strength to stun the Reds' defence and score the opening try.
The home side doubled their tally by the 11th minute as Wallace Sititi charged down on the right flank allowing Emoni Narawa to touch down.
The third try came in the 16th minute when Shaun Stevenson sent an offload for Taukei'aho to complete his brace.
McKenzie and Stevenson combined to send Etene Nanai-Seturo over in the corner for their fourth try as they led 31-0 at the break.
