The Ahmedabad Cyber Crime Branch has arrested an accused who illegally made a transaction of Rs 2.29 crores by swapping the SIM card of an Ahmedabad company. However, the police are yet to recover or seize the money.
A probe revealed that the accused, who was picked up by the police from Azamgarh, was working for Mukhtar Ansari's sharpshooter, Bapu Pasi and the scam was planned in Azamgarh Jail.
The Ahmedabad-based company is into trading and exporting cotton yarn and has an account with the Kalupur Commercial Cooperative Bank's Anandnagar Branch.
