All patients gone, cops fill Khyati hospital seats

After the shocking incident at the Khyati Hospital on SG Highway, Ahmedabad, on Monday, where two people died, the hospital is deserted as all the admitted patients left the hospital.

The deceased were part of a group of 19 villagers from Borisana in Kadi taluka of Mehsana who allegedly underwent unnecessary angiography procedures at the hospital.

Following the allegations of villagers that the hospital conducted a private medical camp in their village without following standard operating procedures (SOPs), the angry mob had vandalised the hospital property.

Later, even other patients who were admitted in the hospital either took a discharge or moved to another hospital as the healthcare staff was not available to take care of them, said Vastrapur police officials.
