From NAVRATRI FATIGUE to DIWALI VITALITY

In this festive time, when your body is drained of energy after dancing through the nine nights of Navratri, and you already have Diwali on your mind, resetting and recharging your body and mind is essential. We asked a nutritionist and a fitness-health expert to curate the best ways to ve you the perfect boost to tackle the festivities head-on! AMB

Optimal food choices to rejuvenate

Rehydrate to recharge Fasting during Navratri can often lead to dehydration, which, in turn, can leave you fatigued. Increase your fl uid intake by drinking plenty of water and naturally hydrating drinks like coconut water, fresh fruit juices, and buttermilk. Lemon water with a pinch of rock salt can also help rebalance electrolytes and give you an energy boost.

Rebuild with proteins After dancing through multiple nights, your body is bound to crave nourishment. Proteins play a vital role in muscle recovery and overall energy restoration. Add plant-based proteins such as lentils, chickpeas, and beans into your meals. Paneer, tofu, and yoghurt are also excellent sources to help rebuild strength. These can be incorporated into light, wholesome meals like khichdi or dal with multigrain rotis.
