GUJRERA dismisses suit against developer by individual allottees

The suit, about lack of promised amenities, was dismissed after RERA ruled that individual allottees cannot file complaints on behalf of the service society

A bench of the Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GUJRERA) has dismissed a suit filed by some of the society members of the sprawling Sankalp Grace-2 apartment at Bopal Ambli Road in the city.

The members had raised a grievance against the developer for not providing amenities as mentioned in the brochure as well as various issues related to common facilities.

The RERA dismissed the suit on the ground that individual allottees cannot file complaints on behalf of the service society.

The complaint was not filed by the society and other allottees were not made a party in the legal proceedings.
