The Gujarat High Court has refused to entertain a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by residents of Sola, protesting the construction of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the area.
Subsequently, the petitioners withdrew the PIL to join as the party respondent in the ongoing suo motu petition related to non-functioning of existing STPs in the city.
The STP in question is being constructed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
