High-tech security net spread from air to ground

Lord Jagannath’s 147th Rath Yatra on July 7 will see an unprecedented level of security, combining human force with advanced technological surveillance.

High-resolution cameras on hot air balloons and drones will provide aerial surveillance, while ground security has also been fortified.

On the ground, 1,400 CCTV cameras installed under the Gujarat Public Safety Act (GPSA), along with additional cameras at 26 key locations, will be directly linked to the police control room.

Portable poles with three cameras each will be set up at the temple, Shahpur Rangila Chowky, Saraspur, Dhal ni Pol near Astodia, and Tamboo Chowky in Dariapur..
