While the demand for traditional rakhis hasn't quite reached last year's levels, high-end luxury rakhis are flying off the shelves. This has caused a threefold increase in the sales of gold, silver, and lab-grown diamond (LGD) jewellery compared to previous months.

According to city jewellers, there's been a surge in demand for rose-gold, silver, and even LGD jewellery for both men and women.

Siblings are not only buying rakhis made from these precious materials, but sisters are also receiving jewellery as return gifts.
