The solar rooftop, initially installed on the main and OPD buildings at a significant cost, has been neglected for an extended period.
A senior hospital official said, "Civil Hospital and the OPD building operate 24/7. Given the continuous functioning of medical wards, equipment, operation theatres, and machinery like MRI scanners, it is obvious to get a huge electricity bill.
