The Gujarat CID Crime has confirmed that several high-profile cricketers will be summoned to learn details from them in relation to a multi-crore chit fund scam.
Those who have probably lost their investments include international and national players Shubman Gill, Mohit Sharma, Rahul Tewatia, and Sai Sudharsan, all of whom played for Gujarat Titans last IPL season.
The investigation follows the interrogation of Ponzi scheme kingpin Bhupendrasinh Zala. Zala confessed that he had not returned the money invested by these cricketers in his BZ scheme.
