From Farali pizza, puff and sandwiches to Farali thali, Amdavad is never short of offering a feast to fasting faithfuls. Meet the city's 'Kings of Faralis' that have been serving mouth-watering delicacies that ignite 'fasting spirit' in you.

Jay Jalaram Sweet Mart, Shahpur

The 56-year-old shop is known for its Farali food. While Samosa, Gota and Gathiyas are served round the year here, the shop sells only farali for Shravan.

People wait patiently for their turn to have their iconic Bafwada, Farali Patra, Dhokla made from Moraiya (semolina), Rajgara Puri, Aloo Sabji and many more.

"This is my fourth visit. Since I can't eat all items in one go, I come here frequently to try different Farali food. So far, I have tried Patra, Dhokla, Moraiyo, Puri and Sabji and Sabudana (sago) Khichdi.
