Suzuki Motor Corporation and Banas Dairy will set up four biogas plants in Gujarat with an investment of more than Rs 250 crore. The project is aimed at making fuel for automobiles by refining methane from biogas.
Biogas is generated by fermenting cow dung. The by-product of the project, liquid fertiliser, will be used for agriculture, chairman of Banas Dairy Shankar Chaudhary said.
He added that an agreement between Maruti Suzuki and Banas Dairy will be inked on Friday.
