Annabel: I still sleep with Mel's scarf

ANNABEL Croft has said she sleeps with her late husband's scarf every night and still dresses to impress him.

The 58-year-old tennis legend, who lost Mel Coleman last year, goes to bed with the treasured item next to her pillow admitting she once thought it was "awful".

She said: "I have his scarf that he was wearing for all the treatments and everything, and it sort of smells of him.

"So I go to bed and sleep with his scarf by my pillow." Annabel added she "didn't really like" it, noting: "It's an awful scarf.

"But he absolutely loved it so I sleep with it in my bed." Mel, a yachtsman, died at the age of 60 from colon cancer in May last year, just eight weeks after he was diagnosed with the terminal illness.
