ACTRESS and disability rights activist Liz Carr will make her case against assisted dying in a TV documentary tonight.

Changing law for assisted dying 'a slippery slope

In BBC One's hour-long Better Off Dead? she argues that any change in policy would lead to a slippery slope. Ms Carr says disabled people would come under pressure to end their lives.

But critics claim the Silent Witness star, 52, lacks evidence.

The film follows Ms Carr, who has a rare genetic condition of the muscles and joints, as she meets campaigners from both sides of the argument. In Canada she hears how the dying policy affects disabled people.
