Clarkson frustrated at Reeves' refusal to rethink farms IHT

The TV host and owner of Diddly Squat farm hit out at the "terribly cruel" IHT raid being forced on land owners who inherit agricultural assets worth more than £1million.

Mr Clarkson joined thousands of campaigning farmers last week as they descended on Westminster to protest against the changes, which some farmers say would see families forced to sell up to pay the tax.

The move is against a backdrop of plunging farming profits. In 2023/24, business income fell 73% on cereal farms, 68% for dairy and between 12 and 25% for grazing livestock, according to Government figures.
