The YouGov projection put Labour on course to win 422 seats, beating Tony Blair's 1997 sweep of 418 seats.
Up to 12 Tory Cabinet ministers could lose their seats at the July 4 ballot, the pollsters indicate.
These include Chancellor Jeremy Defence Secretary Hunt, Grant Shapps, Justice Secretary Alex Chalk, Welsh Secretary David TC Davies, Veterans Minister Johnny Mercer and Attorney General Victoria Prentis.
Anthony Wells, head of political and social research at YouGov, said: "Most conventional wisdom had it that when the General Election was called there would be a narrowing of the gap between the two main parties.
"But this poll suggests Labour remain on track for a 1997-style landslide.
"Looking across all the polling carried out in the campaign so far, if anything the public have moved further away from the Conservatives." The YouGov poll suggested there could be just 140 Tory MPs.
