Paul O'Grady leaves £15.5m with £125,000 to look after his five dogs

It is more than double the total predicted after the animal-loving TV host died last March aged 67.

Paul, who first found fame in the 1980s as drag queen Lily Savage, left £500,000 to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, which featured in his ITV series For The Love Of Dogs.

The £775,000 left to organisations by Paul, who died as a result of cardiac arrhythmia, included cash for elephant and orangutan charities.

He gave £100,000 to be divided between the Indian Wildlife Trust, called Wildlife SOS, and Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo.
