Charles, who resumed public facing events last week as he continues his cancer treatment, led a large group of senior royals at the first Buckingham Palace garden party of the year.
Meanwhile Harry was joined by his late mother's brother and sister at a St Paul's Cathedral service celebrating 10 years of his Invictus Games for injured troops.
Over at the Palace it was business as usual as the King, Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, inset right, Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester mingled with 8,000 guests. Dressed in a top hat and tails, Charles seemed in high spirits as he laughed and chatted with the crowds. At one point he was pictured removing his top hat and waving it in the air while they sang the National Anthem.
Missing
The only senior royals missing were William and Kate, who is having preventative chemotherapy after her own cancer diagnosis.
Earlier in the day the Prince of Wales conducted an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, close to his home with Kate and their three young children. The strong royal turnout at the garden party was a clear show of solidarity for the 75-year-old monarch.
