Up To 21,000 Children Lost Or Dead In Gaza Chaos

Save the Children called for an urgent investigation after compiling shocking figures that lay bare the humanitarian crisis in the region.

It comes as harrowing testimonies reveal the "catastrophic conditions" pregnant mothers in Gaza are forced to endure.

Save the Children said that while it was "near impossible" to collect and verify information under the current conditions, at least 17,000 children are "lost" after becoming separated from their families.

It added that an estimated 4,000 children are likely to be under the rubble, with an unknown number also in mass graves.
